Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Verified Communications Inc. ("we", "us"), of Toronto, Ontario, for use of VAIV (Verified AI Visibility). By creating an account or using VAIV, you agree to them. If you use VAIV for a company, you confirm you can bind that company.
1. What VAIV is
VAIV runs AI visibility scans: it asks AI search systems questions about your category and reports whether they recommend or cite your company, which sources they rely on, and how you compare with competitors. We also offer the Authority Engine (curated target lists) and consulting add-ons delivered by people.
2. Accounts
- You must sign up with a work email address. We may refuse or close accounts using free or personal email domains.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Plans, prices and limits are shown on our pricing page. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated, plus applicable taxes.
- Billing is currently manual: we send an invoice, and nothing is charged until we have agreed it with you.
- You can cancel at any time by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; we don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
4. No guarantee of results
Our results are observed from third-party AI systems at the time of each scan, not modelled or predicted. AI answers change often and vary between runs. We do not guarantee any AI placement, citation, ranking, media coverage, award or business outcome, including after you act on our recommendations or use the Authority Engine or consulting.
5. Acceptable use
- Only scan a company you have the right to represent. Competitor names may be included for benchmarking.
- Don't scrape, harvest or bulk-download our outputs, or use them to build a competing product.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits or security of the service.
- Don't use VAIV for anything unlawful or misleading.
6. Intellectual property
Your reports are licensed to you for your company's internal use. You may share them with your team, advisers and board. Our software, methodology, scoring, question sets and curated lists remain ours. You keep ownership of the information you give us.
7. Third-party services
To run scans and deliver the service, we send questions (prompts), which can include your company, category and competitor names, to third-party providers: OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google and SerpApi. We use Resend to send email. Those providers process the data under their own terms. We aren't responsible for their availability or the content of their answers.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to VAIV is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or opportunities. The service is provided "as is".
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts the service at risk. On closure, your licence to use VAIV ends; sections 4, 6 and 8 continue.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use VAIV after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
